The future of artist support is now.
And it starts with you.
The Campaign for a Creative Future is a $3.5 million campaign to secure a reliable future of Artist Trust’s funding, career support programming, and advocacy for Washington State artists of all disciplines.
Artist Trust &
the Campaign for a Creative Future
There are more than 50,000 emerging and established artists in Washington State, each facing the challenge of making a life, and a living, as artists. Many are being priced out of their studio spaces and homes, fragmenting communities. Obstacles faced by rural artists are different than those of their urban peers, while artists of color face systemic barriers in accessing funding and resources.
With more than thirty years of experience bolstering the work of Washington State artists of all disciplines, Artist Trust has the strength and expertise to support artists as they address these challenges and more — preparing them to launch and sustain successful careers, in service of a brighter and more creative future for us all.
Now, we look to supporters like you to help us complete the Campaign for a Creative Future, and provide crucial stability for Artist Trust and Washington State artists of all disciplines for generations to come.
“Artist Trust is at the heart of the vibrant, interconnected ecosystem we call home.”
— tessa hulls, 2018 fellowship recipient
The $3,500,000 Campaign for a Creative Future is composed of two funds that fulfill Artist Trust’s promise to sustain, fuel, and support artists of all disciplines in Washington State, now and into the future.
The Grants Fund will increase Artist Trust’s investment in artists and add stability to mission delivery by creating a Board-Designated Grants Fund that complements the current Endowment Fund.
The Venture Fund will build a board-designated fund that allows Artist Trust to provide meaningful and rapid responses to urgent issues faced by artists and creative communities.
